    Let B remained in business for x months. Ratio of equivalent capitals \[=45000\times 12:54000\times x=10:x\] \[\therefore \]      \[\frac{10}{x}=\frac{2}{1}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[2x=10\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=5\] Clearly, B joined after \[(12-5)=7\]months
