    [c] Mormugao Port is situated on the west coast of India at the mouth of River Zuari. It is an open type harbour protected by a breakwater. It is the premier iron ore exporting Port of India with an annual throughput of around 20 million tons. The port accounts for about 50 percent of India's iron ore export and ranks among the top 10 iron ore exporting potts in the world. Kandla, a major port, is a natural harbour situated on the Kandla Creek in Western India. Being an all-weather port aided by tropical condition, it is ideally suited for dry cargo round the year. Kandla is the most active seaport in West Coast of India. Kandla is a tidal seaport. Visakhapatnam is the most ideal East Coast port catering to South Asian and East Asian destinations, with all facilities for efficient and economic operations. It is the deepest natural seaport of India. Mumbai is the biggest seaport of India.
