    [d] Janashree Bima Yojna is a special scheme for women SHG members. It helps provide insurance coverage to women SHG members and help in their children's education. This scheme is exclusively for women. The beneficiary should be a member of a SHG. The member gets Rs. 30, 000/ term life Insurance coverage for a period of one year. The total insurance premium is Rs. 200/- per member per year of which Rs. 100/- is borne by SHG member and balance of Rs. 100/- by LIC. In 2013 the Union government has merged the existing Janashree Bima Yojana with the newly announced Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana, extending similar benefits to landless agriculturists. Besides providing a life cover of Rs. 30, 000 for natural death, Rs. 5,000 amount would be paid to the family in case of death due to accidents. If the person covered under the insurance becomes partially disabled, he will be paid Rs. 37, 500 as insurance amount and if the victim becomes fully disabled he will be paid Rs. 75, 000. Also, two children in his family will be paid Rs. 100 a month as scholarship.
