Given, the refractive index of glass with respect to air \[\,{{\,}^{a}}{{\mu }_{g}}=1.55\] (\[\therefore \]both faces have same radius of curvature) For double convex lenses, \[{{R}_{1}}=R,\] \[{{R}_{2}}=-R\] Focal length of lens,        \[\text{f}=+\,30\,cm\] Using lens maker?s formula, \[\frac{1}{\text{f}}=({{\,}^{a}}{{\mu }_{g}}-1)\left( \frac{1}{{{R}_{1}}}-\frac{1}{{{R}_{2}}} \right)\]             \[\Rightarrow \]\[\frac{1}{30}=(1.55-1)\left( \frac{1}{R}+\frac{1}{R} \right)\Rightarrow \frac{1}{30}=0.55\times \frac{2}{R}\]                         \[R=0.55\times 2\times 30=33\,cm\]             This is the required radius of curvature.
