When an electron falls from a higher energy to lower energy level in an atom, the difference in the energies appears in the form of electromagnetic radiation. Why cannot it be emitted as other forms of energy?

    Answer:

The transition of an electron from a higher energy to a lower energy level can appear in the form of electromagnetic radiation because exchange of energy is very-very small, i.e. the quantum of energy is photon which is given by,             \[hv={{E}_{f}}={{E}_{i}}.\]
