    Solution :

    Let the number be x. Then, \[\frac{x-4}{6}=8\Rightarrow x-4=48\Rightarrow x=52\] \[\therefore \]  \[\frac{x-2}{5}=\frac{52-2}{5}=\frac{50}{5}=10.\]
