The circumference of a circle is equal to the perimeter of a square. The side of the square is 33 cm. What is double the diameter of the circle?

    A)  42 cm

    B)       21 cm

    C)  10.5 cm

    D)       None of these

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

     Circumference of circle = Perimeter of square \[=(4\,\,\,\,\,\,33)\] cm \[\therefore \] \[2\pi r=4\,\,\,\,\,33\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[r=\frac{42\,\,\,\,33\,\,\,\,7}{2\,\,\,\,22}=21\] cm  \[\therefore \]    2 diameter  \[=2\,\,\,\,2\,\,\,21\] \[=84\] cm
