Direction: In this question, three statements followed by two conclusions are given. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows disregarding commonly known facts.
    Statements:     All boys are girls.
                            All girls are women.
                            No woman is a person.
Conclusions:    I. Some persons being boys is a possibility.
II. Some women are not boys.
    Give answer

    A)  if only conclusion I follows.

    B)  if only conclusion II follows.

    C)  if either conclusion I or II follows.

    D)  if neither conclusion I nor II follows.

    E)  if both conclusion I and II follow.

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

All boys are girls (A) + All girls are women (A) = A + A = A = All boys are women (A) \[\to \] conversion \[\to \] Some women are boys. Hence conclusion II does not follow. Again, All boys are women (A) + No woman is a person (E) = A + E = E = No boy is a person. Hence conclusion I also does not follow.
