     Let the maximum marks be x \[\therefore 9%\,\,of\,\,x=\text{ }1050-924\] \[\Rightarrow \,\,\frac{9x}{100}=126\] \[\Rightarrow \,\,x=\frac{126\times 100}{9}=1400\]
