    B)  Only I follows

    C)  Only II follows

    D)  Only III follows

    E)  Only either I or III follows

    Correct Answer: E

    Solution :

    (i) All phones are chords \[\to \] Universal Affirmative (A-type).
(ii) Some chords are nets \[\to \] Particular Affirmative (I-type).
(iii) No table is machine \[\to \] Universal Negative (E-type).
(iv) Some tables are not machines Particular \[\to \]Negative (O- type).
I + E \[\Rightarrow \] O-type of conclusions "Some books are not machines". E + A \[\Rightarrow {{O}_{1}}\]-type of Conclusion "Some tents are not tables". Conclusions I and III form Complementary Pair. Therefore, either I or II follows.
