    \[x+x+1+x+2+x+3+x+\] \[4+x+5+x+6=168\] \[\Rightarrow 7x+21=168\] \[\Rightarrow 7x=168-21=147\] \[\Rightarrow x=\frac{147}{7}=21\] \[\therefore x+x+6=2x+6\] \[=2\times 21+6=48\] Quicker Approach Fourth number\[=\frac{168}{7}=24\] \[\therefore \] First number \[=24-3=21\]and Seventh number \[=24+3=27\]  \[\therefore \]Required sum \[=\text{ }21+27=48\]
