I. X is fourteenth from the right end of the row. Y is at the sixth position from the left end of the row.

Solution :

From I. Thus, we can't find the number of persons sitting in the row. From II.                         Thus. the number of persons sitting in the row \[=(19+10)-1=29-1=28\] Thus, 28 persons are silting in the row. Hence II alone is sufficient to answer the question.
