    Solution :

     Let the population of Town E in 2014 be\[x.\] Then, in \[2015=1.25x\] \[\therefore \]In \[2016=1.25x\times 1.2=1.5x\] \[\therefore \]Reqd fraction \[=\frac{x}{1.5x}=\frac{2}{3}\]
