    Solution :

    Total no. of volcanic eruptions in Chile = 40 + 60 - 80+120= 300 Total no. of volcanic eruptions in the USA = 20 + 60 + 80 + 100 = 260 \[\therefore \]Reqd% \[=\frac{300\times 100}{260}=115.38%\] Hence, volcanic eruptions in Chile is 115.3 8% of the total no. of volcanic eruptions in the USA.
