    The fare of Jet Airways is 10% more than that of Kingfisher and the fare of Indigo is 25% less than that of Kingfisher. If the fare of Kingfisher is Rs.7000 per passenger in 2014, then what is the total number of passengers of Jet Airways in the year 2014?

    Solution :

     Fare per passenger of Jet Airways \[=7000\times \frac{110}{100}\]=Rs.7700 And fare of Indigo per passenger\[=7000\times \frac{75}{100}\]=Rs.5250 Now, total number of passengers in Jet Airways in \[2014=\frac{\text{Total}\,\text{income}}{\text{Fare}\,\text{of}\,\text{per}\,\text{passenger}}\] \[=\frac{20\,crore}{7700}=25974\approx 25975\]
