Direction: In the question, the symbols $,\[\delta \], @, % and © are used with the following meanings as illustrated below:
'A $ B' means 'A is neither greater than nor equal to B'
    'A \[\delta \] B' means 'A is not greater than B'
    'A @ B' means 'A is not smaller than B'
'A % B' means 'A is neither smaller than nor greater than B'
'A©B' means 'A is neither smaller than nor equal to B' In each of the following questions, assuming the given statements to be true, find out which of the conclusions I, II, III and IV given below them is/are definitely true.
    Statements:  \[S\,c\bigcirc \,E,\,E\,\delta \,M,\,M\,N,N\,\bigcirc cQ\]
    Conclusions:
    I. \[N\,\$\,S\]
    II.\[E\,\delta \,Q\]
    III. \[M\,\bigcirc cQ\]
    IV. E % N

    A)  Only I and II

    B)  Only III

    C)  Only II and IV

    D)  None is true

    E)  All are true

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    Given \[\$\,\to\,<\] \[\delta \to \,\le \] \[\to \,\ge \] \[%\,\to \,=\] \[\bigcirc c\to \,>\] Given statements: S > E                           ... (i) \[E\le M\]                                   ?(ii) \[M\ge N\]                                  ?(iii) \[N>Q\]                         ?(iv) Combining all these statements, we get \[S>E\le M\ge N>Q\] Thus, we can't compare S and N or E and Q or E and N. So, conclusion I, II and IV are not true. Again, M > Q is true. Hence III (M © Q) is true.
