(i) If oxygen disappears from the atmosphere, then there will be no life on earth because oxygen is vital for life and is the basic requirement of all living beings. (ii) If carbon dioxide disappears from the atmosphere, then green plants cannot prepare their own food by photosynthesis so there will be no life on earth. It is because, plants take in carbon dioxide during photosynthesis.
