    Solution :

    \[\therefore \]      \[\frac{{{M}_{1}}{{D}_{1}}}{{{W}_{1}}}=\frac{{{M}_{2}}{{D}_{2}}}{{{W}_{2}}}\] \[\therefore \]      \[\frac{5\frac{1}{2}}{\frac{1}{48}}=\frac{6\times {{D}_{2}}}{\frac{1}{40}}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[{{D}_{2}}=\frac{\frac{1}{2}\times 5\times 48}{40\times 6}=\frac{1}{2}\]
