    Solution :

    Let the price of quantity x kg is Rs. y. \[\therefore \]      Selling price of \[\frac{400}{300}x\,kg=Rs.\frac{6y}{5}\] \[\therefore \]      Selling price of x kg \[=Rs.\frac{6y}{5}\times \frac{300}{400}\]      \[=Rs.\frac{18y}{20}\] \[\therefore \]      Discount \[=Rs.\frac{2y}{20}\]                          \[=Rs.\frac{y}{10}\] Discount per cent \[=\frac{y/10}{y}\times 100%=10\]
