If salary of X is 20% more than salary of Y, then by how much percentage is salary of Y less than X?

    A) 25

    B) 20

    C) \[\frac{50}{3}\]

    D) \[\frac{65}{4}\]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    Let the salary of \[Y=Rs.\,a\] \[\therefore \]      Salary of X \[=Rs.\frac{120a}{100}=Rs.\frac{6a}{5}\] Difference of their salaries \[=Rs.\left( \frac{6a}{5}-a \right)=Rs.\frac{a}{5}\] \[\therefore \] Required percentage \[=\frac{\frac{a}{5}}{\frac{6a}{5}}\times 100%=\frac{50}{3}\]
