    Solution :

    Let the present age of Ram and Shyam be x and y respectively. By given condition,             \[(x-10)=5(y-10)\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x-5y=-\,40\]                             ?(i) And      \[(x+20)=2(y+20)\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x-2y=20\] On solving Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get             \[y=20\,yr\]
