    Solution :

    Let quantities of milk and water are 5x L and x L. By given condition, \[\frac{5x}{x+5}=\frac{5}{2}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[10x=5x+25\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[5x=25\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=5\] Hence, the quantity of milk in the original mixture             \[=5\times 5=25L\]
