    Solution :

    Total of 15 numbers \[=15\times 7=105\] Total of first 8 numbers \[=8\times 6.5=52\] and total of last 8 numbers \[=8\times 9.5=76\] \[\therefore \] Middle number \[=76+\text{ }52-105=23\]
