    Solution :

    Let total distance of the journey be x km. Then, first part of journey\[=\frac{x}{2}\text{km}\] and second part of journey\[=\frac{x}{2}\text{km}\] By given condition,             \[\frac{\frac{x}{2}}{30}+\frac{\frac{x}{2}}{70}=10\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{7x+3x}{210}=20\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=2\times 210=420\,km\]
