    Solution :

    Relative speed \[=75+50=\frac{125\times 5}{18}\text{m/s}\] and total covered distance \[=100\,m+150\,m\]                                       \[=250\,m\] \[\therefore \] Time taken to cross each other             \[\text{=}\frac{\text{Total covered distance}}{\text{Relative speed}}\]             \[=\frac{250\times 18}{125\times 5}=7.2\,s\]
