    Let the mother's age \[=x\,yr\] \[\therefore \] Father's age \[=(x+8)\,yr\] Sum of ages of 6 sons             \[=8\times 6=48\,\,yr\] Sum of ages of 6 sons and parents \[=22\times 8=176\,\,yr\] \[\therefore \] Ages of parents \[=176-48=128\,\,yr\] Or       \[x+x+8=128\] Or            \[2x=120\] Or             \[x=60\] Hence, mother's age \[=60\,yr\]
