    One day's work of a man \[=\frac{1}{5}\] One day's work of a man and his son \[=\frac{1}{3}\] \[\therefore \] One day's work of his son \[=\frac{1}{3}-\frac{1}{5}=\frac{5-3}{15}=\frac{2}{15}\] \[\therefore \] The son of a man can do work alone in \[7\frac{1}{2}\] days.
