    Divide Rs. 7500 among A, B and C such that A's share is to B's share is in ratio 5 : 2 and B's share is to C's share in the ratio 7 : 13. How much will be B receive?

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    \[\because \] \[A:B=5:2=\frac{5}{2}:1\] And \[B:C=7:13=1:\frac{13}{7}\] And      \[A:B:C=\frac{5}{2}:1:\frac{13}{7}\]             \[=13:14:26\] Total amount = Rs. 7500 \[\therefore \] B?s share \[=\frac{14}{35+14+26}\times 7500=Rs.\,1400\]
