If \[\sqrt{3}=1.732\] is given, then the value of \[\frac{2+\sqrt{3}}{2-\sqrt{3}}\] is

    A)  11.732

    B)  13.928

    C)  12.928

    D)  13.925

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    Expression\[=\frac{2+\sqrt{3}}{2-\sqrt{3}}=\frac{(2+\sqrt{3})(2+\sqrt{3})}{(2-\sqrt{3})(2+\sqrt{3})}\] [On rationalising the denominator] \[=\frac{{{(2+\sqrt{3})}^{2}}}{4-2}={{(2+\sqrt{3})}^{2}}\] \[={{2}^{2}}+{{(\sqrt{3})}^{2}}+2\times 2\times \sqrt{3}\] \[=4+3+4\sqrt{3}\] \[=7+4\times 1.732\] \[=7+6.928\] \[=13.928\]
