  • question_answer
The radius of a circular wheel is 1.75 m. The number of revolutions it will make in travelling 11 km is : \[\left( use\,\,\pi =\frac{22}{7} \right)\]

    A) 800

    B) 900

    C) 1000

    D) 1200

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

The distance travelled by wheel in one revolution \[=2\pi r\] \[=2\times \frac{22}{7}\times 1.75m=11m\] Therefore, the number of revolution to cover 11 km i.e. 1100 m by wheel \[=\frac{1100}{11}=1000\]
