    Solution :

     Let, B remain in business for x months. According to the question, A and B get equal profit. \[\therefore \]    \[\frac{3750}{5000}=\frac{x}{12}\] \[\Rightarrow \]            \[5000\times x=3750\times 12\] \[\Rightarrow \]            \[x=\frac{3750\times 12}{5000}=9\] months i.e., B joined the business after 3 months.
