    (b) Total no. of appeared from States B and C = 4950 + 3600 = 8550 Total no. of successful candidates from States B and C = \[\frac{16}{100}\times 9000+630\] = 1440 + 630 = 2070 \[\therefore \] Required Percentage \[\frac{2070}{8550}\times 100\]=24.21
