NEET AIPMT SOLVED PAPER 1999

  • question_answer
The number of atoms in 4.25g of \[N{{H}_{3}}\] is approximately:

    A)              \[1\times {{10}^{23}}\]

    B)              \[2\times {{10}^{23}}\]

    C)              \[4\times {{10}^{23}}\]

    D)              \[6\times {{10}^{23}}\]

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

                    Weight of \[N{{H}_{3}}=4.25\,g\]                 Number of moles of \[N{{H}_{3}}\]                 \[=\frac{Wt.}{Mol.\,wt.}=\frac{4.25}{17}=0.25\]                 Number of molecules in 0.25 mole of \[N{{H}_{3}}\]                 \[=0.25\times 6.023\times {{10}^{23}}\]                 So, number of atoms = \[4\times 0.25\times 6.023\times {{10}^{23}}\]                 \[=6.0\times {{10}^{23}}\]
