Mongolism (Down's syndrome) is a congenital disorder of people; it is caused by trisomy of chromosome 21 (often by non-disjunction). The persons suffering from it are mentally retarded, have short body, swollen tongue and folded eyelids. When sex chromosomes of male contain an extra copy of X-chromosomethen this leads an abnormal condition i.e., syndrome called kilinefelter's syndrome. Turner's syndrome is found due to absence of a sex chromosome (case of monosomy) which leaves only X-chromosome per cell (in human 44 + X).
