    Solution :

    Given, \[f(x)=\log (x+\sqrt{{{x}^{2}}+1})\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[f(-x)=\log (-x+\sqrt{{{x}^{2}}+1})\] \[\therefore \]  \[f(x)+f(-x)=\log (x+\sqrt{{{x}^{2}}+1})\]                              \[+\log (-x+\sqrt{{{x}^{2}}+1})\] \[=\log (1)=0\] Hence, \[f(x)\] is an odd function.
