    Solution :

    We have, \[\mu =\frac{\sin i}{\sin r}\]and also \[\mu =\frac{c}{v}\] \[\therefore \]  \[\frac{c}{v}=\frac{\sin i}{\sin r}\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[v=c.\left( \frac{\sin r}{\sin i} \right)\]
