If boiling point of water is \[{{95}^{o}}F\], what will be reduction at Celsius scale?

    A)  \[{{7}^{o}}C\]

    B)  \[{{65}^{o}}C\]

    C)  \[{{63}^{o}}C\]

    D)  \[{{35}^{o}}C\]

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

The relation between Celsius scale and Fahrenheit scale is as derived below : 100 parts of Celsius scale = 180 parts of                                  Fahrenheit scale \[\therefore \] 1 part of Celsius scale = \[\frac{9}{5}\] parts of                                 Fahrenheit scale Hence,  \[{{T}_{F}}=3.2+\frac{9}{5}\,{{T}_{C}}\] or            \[{{T}_{C}}=\frac{5}{9}\,({{T}_{F}}-32)\] Given,   \[{{T}_{F}}={{95}^{o}}F\] \[\therefore \]  \[{{T}_{C}}=\frac{5}{9}\,(95-32)\] \[={{35}^{o}}C\]
