If the equation of transverse wave\[(h=6.6\times {{10}^{-34}}J.s,c=3\times {{10}^{8}}m/s)\]where distance is in cm and time in sec, then the wavelength of wave will be :

    A)  20 cm

    B)  40 cm

    C)  60 cm

    D)  none of these

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    The equation of transverse wave is \[y=5\sin 2\pi \left[ \frac{t}{0.04}-\frac{x}{40} \right]\]    ??.(i) Now standard equation of transverse wave is \[y=a\,\sin 2\pi \left[ \frac{t}{T}-\frac{x}{\lambda } \right]\]                     ??(ii) Comparing equations (i) and (ii), we get \[\frac{x}{\lambda }=\frac{x}{40}\] or            \[\lambda =40cm\]
