    Solution :

    Equation of line and parabola respectively are \[x-y+2=0\]                     ...(i) and                        \[{{y}^{2}}-8x=0\]                       ...(ii) On solving Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get \[x=2\]and\[y=4\] \[\therefore \] The point of contact of the line and parabola is (2, 4).
