    The area under p-V diagram = work done or \[W=AD\times DC\] \[=(2\times 1.05-1\times {{10}^{5}})\text{ }N{{m}^{-2}}\times (4-2)\times {{10}^{-6}}{{m}^{3}}\] \[=1\times {{10}^{5}}\times 2\times {{10}^{-6}}J=0.2J\] Therefore, 0.2 J work is done by the gas in going from B to C and on the gas from D to A.
