    Solution :

    The relation between the Centigrade and Fahrenheit scale of temperature is \[\frac{C}{5}=\frac{5-32}{9}\] Suppose,\[x\]be the temperature at which Centrigrade and Fahrenheit scales are equal.                 Hence,                  \[\frac{x}{5}=\frac{x-32}{9}\]                                                 \[9x=5x-160\]                                                 \[4x=-160\]                                                 \[x=-{{40}^{o}}\]
