Let the side of square be x unit. \[\therefore \]  \[{{(4)}^{2}}={{x}^{2}}+{{x}^{2}}\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[2{{x}^{2}}=16\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[{{x}^{2}}=8sq\,unit\]
