    Intensity                                 \[I\propto \frac{1}{{{\lambda }^{4}}}\] \[\therefore \]                  \[\frac{{{I}_{2}}}{{{I}_{1}}}={{\left( \frac{{{\lambda }_{1}}}{{{\lambda }_{2}}} \right)}^{4}}\]                                 \[\frac{{{I}_{2}}}{{{I}_{1}}}={{\left( \frac{500}{400} \right)}^{4}}\cong 2.5\]                                 \[{{I}_{2}}=2.5\,{{I}_{1}}=2.5\times 8\]                                 \[{{I}_{2}}=20.5\approx 20\] units
