    Solution :

     From the condition of the question the reactance of the coil is\[\sqrt{3}\] times of resistance, so \[Z=\sqrt{3}R\] \[\phi ={{\tan }^{-1}}\frac{Z}{R}={{\tan }^{-1}}3\] Therefore, \[\phi =\frac{\pi }{3}\]
