    Spermatogenesis    occurs   in   the seminiferous tubules of the testes. It includes three phases : [a] Multiplication phase : Undifferentiated primordial germ cells undergo repeated  mitotic  divisions  and produce large number of sperm mother cells or spermatogonia. [b] Growth phase : spermatogonia grows to a larger primary spermatocyte. [c] Maturation phase : The primary spermatocytes undergoes meiosis to form four haploid spermatids.
