    Coronary heart disease occurs due to insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle. Coronary arteries regulate the flow of oxygenated blood from the ascending aorta to the heart muscle and the return of deoxygenated to blood from the heart muscle to right atrium ie, called coronary circulation. Coronary heart diseases are coronary thrombosis, coronary sclerosis, heart attack etc. Coronary thrombosis is formation of blood clot in coronary arteries of heart causing death of tissue and leading to heart attack or MI. Coronary sclerosis is narrowing of coronary arteries leading to severe chest pain ie, called Angina pectoris.
