CET Karnataka Medical CET - Karnataka Medical Solved Paper-2011

  • question_answer
A perfect gas at \[27{}^\circ C\]is heated at constant pressure so as to double its volume. The increase in temperature of the gas will be

    A) \[600{}^\circ C\]

    B)  \[327{}^\circ C\]

    C) \[54{}^\circ C\]

    D)  \[300{}^\circ C\]

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

    We know for perfect gas \[V\propto T\] Here,               \[\frac{{{V}_{1}}}{{{V}_{2}}}=\frac{{{T}_{1}}}{{{T}_{2}}}\]                ...(i) According to question, \[{{V}_{1}}=V\] then \[{{V}_{2}}=2V\]and \[{{T}_{1}}=300K\] \[\therefore \] \[\frac{1}{2}=\frac{300}{{{T}_{2}}}\] \[{{T}_{2}}=600K\] \[{{T}_{2}}={{327}^{o}}C\] So, \[\Delta t=327-27={{300}^{o}}C\]
