    Solution :

    Acceleration due to gravity \[g=\frac{GM}{{{R}^{2}}}\] So, by power law for errors                 \[\frac{\Delta g}{g}=-\frac{2\Delta R}{R}\] Thus, 1% decrease in radius of earth will result  in 2% increase in acceleration due to gravity.
