                    Mesitylene (1, 3, 5-trimethyl benzene) has three, \[m\text{-}\]xylene (1, 3-dimethyl benzene) has two   while   toluene   has   only   one electron-donating \[C{{H}_{3}}\] group. Therefore, electron density is maximum in mesitylene and hence, it is most reactive towards ring nitration.
