    Solution :

                    Here, capacitance of the capacitor \[C=12\,pF\]     \[=12\times {{10}^{-12}}F\] Voltage of the battery V = 50 V The energy stored in capacitor is given by, \[V=\frac{1}{2}c{{v}^{2}}\] or            \[v=\frac{1}{2}(12\times {{10}^{-12}})\times {{(50)}^{2}}\] Hence,  \[v=1.5\times {{10}^{-8}}J\]
